چکیده
The health of dairy cows is an important factor affecting the profitability farms worldwide, and lameness regarded as one most costly cattle diseases. aim this study was to estimate economic cost cow among Kosovo farms. Data collected from 56 were analysed with a farm-level stochastic (Monte Carlo) simulation model lameness. Lameness-associated sources loss examined within included: reduced milk production, treatment cost, discarded milk, body weight, premature culling. Results showed that prevalence on ranged 17% 39%. average annual estimated at €338.57 per farm (or €46.25 cow). Reduced production largest financial contribution (45% total loss) followed by culling (31% loss). Discarded each contributed approximately 8% loss. These findings indicate farmers need be more cognizant losses associated should encouraged implement management strategies reduce means enhancing profitability.
